“We are a Swat team for growth”: Project A spins off consulting firm A11 – what’s behind it

Project A recently launched its new fund – its fifth since its founding in 2012. It has raised a total of €325 million. According to the company, the Berlin-based early-stage VC now manages assets totaling €1.2 billion.
Now comes the next piece of news: The VC has decided to spin off its operations unit and turn it into an independent consulting firm called A11. Project A is the parent company. Managing directors are Rainer Berak, Stephan Schulze, and Thuy Ngan Trinh.
We spoke with Trinh about A11's plans, the idea behind the spin-off, why now is the perfect moment, and how A11 aims to help companies get off the ground. Trinh joined Project A ten years ago, serving as Managing Director and responsible for the former Operations Unit.
